COURSE
The present 2 km loop course has been in use for this event, as well as the Emerald City Open, for over a decade.

Starts, loop run-throughs, and finish line are all adjacent on the hillside grassy lawn nearest to NE 50th Street. The 2000-meter loop starts and finishes in the open space next to the NE 50th Street parking area in ”Upper” Lower Woodland Park.
 4 km race - 2 loops
 6 km race - 3 loops
10 km race - 5 loops

It is generally considered a difficult course, most often due to mud in the fall and its generally rolling terrain which is 80% grass, 18% gravel path, and 2% road crossings.  Spikes are recommended.
